It’s NERF Time!!

Nerf Guns

If your kids are anything like mine, then a Nerf war is bound to happen around the house sooner or later. A little fun fact about Nerf is that in 1969 Parker Brothers developed a 4″ foam Nerf ball that was just soft enough to be thrown around without damaging anything . In 1970 the ball was released in a small black box that proclaimed “Throw it indoors. You can’t damage lamps or break windows. You can’t hurt babies or old people.” The foam ball was a huge hit among families and sold millions the first year. It wasn’t until 1989 that the first Nerf Blaster was produced and from there the Nerf world has only continued to grow. I have put together a list of our favorite Nerf guns used around our house. Now its time to start building your own Nerf Gun armory.

The Elite Strongarm is my favorite for close encounters. Easy to use and great for stand off attacks. The Strongarm holds 6 elite darts in its rotating barrel and shoots up to 90 feet.

Dominate your enemies with the double barrel Elite Rough Cut 2×4 Blaster. The 8 dart pump action blaster fires up to 75 feet. My sons have no chance of winning when this gun goes off.

The Zombie Strike ZED Squad Longshot CS-12 Blaster has 12 dart magazine , adjustable stock and scope(more for appearance than function). All around its a fun gun, plus I like it because I can sit back and unload 12 rounds while the kids are reloading .

Who ever is equipped with the Rival Khaos MXVI-4000 Blaster is sure to make an impression. This joker is a motorized blaster spitting out 40 rounds of foam balls. The game would only be fair if your opponents were armed with the same caliber blaster. The Rival series are intended for those ready for extreme war games.

Last but not least, the Zombie Strike Doublestrike Blaster is my last resort gun. The 2 dart gun is great when your enemies think your out of ammo. Small and compact makes its easy to conceal and surprise your enemies until you reload.
